October 2026 - Lynn Czar - Dare to be Unique

October will bring Lynn Czar's program, Dare to be Unique, with her trunk show and inspirational ideas for creating interesting quilts. Lynn is well known for her bright colors and happy designs.

FRIENDSHIP FRIDAY -- We meet on the third Friday of each month from 1-4 pm at the Petoskey Friendship Center. Please join us. There is lots of room to work; new members to meet; lots of tips and sharing and always a fun demo.

We are always looking for folks to share a short demo. Please let Debbie Jarvis or Jan Gray know if you have something you would be willing to share. It may be something practiced, to you, but new to someone else, we’d love to see it!

November general meeting / Leslie Peterson Thread Painting (Thursday, November 12, 2026)

Leslie Peterson - Thread Painting

Leslie is an art quilter and expert on thread painting. She’ll bring her whole cloth trunk show and lots of tips and tricks to embellish our quilts easily.

Her class is a beginner course on thread painting and will be on Friday, November 13, 2026. The location is TBD. Class is $30 per student and materials kit is $25.

Students must have knowledge of free motion quilting functions on their machine, a free motion foot, open toe if possible, and thread cutting scissors. A few pre-wound bobbins in a neutral color is also recommended.
